Here are some photos of the current students in the intensive summer course. The students are all doing very well, participating well, and following the inlingua method. So,of course, lots of conversation and lots of questions to one another. Let’s hope they all keep up the good work, and carry on in October.

MY SISTER HAYLEY’S VISIT
May 1st, 2007
MY SISTER HAYLEY’S VISIT
Last Monday on the 23rd April, my sister Hayley came to visit me and I took her to work with me, besides she really wanted to meet my students and colleagues. It was great fun! She chatted very much to my students, and they enjoyed it also. They were able to listen to a different accent, practice question structure, and talk about life in Birmingham from a native to the area. As my sister is a very open and chatty person anyway, we had no problems keeping conversation flowing, and it was good for the students to have a different type of class.
It was so good for my students to see a new face, it made a change from always me! I also think it was advantageous to them in their learning process and I hope she’ll be back again to visit us soon.

Futura Idiomas staff
Here I publish a few pictures of the staff and of the students, and also a brief description of the actual staff members.
Bea & Christine
Christine and Bea are the “bosses” of the academy, they are both very professional in what they do, and the centre wouldn’t be what it is without them. They both do a great job.
Karl
Karl is from London, and has been at Futura the longest; he’s the pillar of the academy, a great guitarist and has a nice down-to –earth personality.
Yolanda
Yolanda is from Malaga, and teaches German and English to young learners. She lived in Germany for 17 years or so, and has a sunny and happy nature.
Mandy
Mandy is from Chicago, USA, and is the real life and soul of the academy. Always happy and bright, she’s a pleasure to be around, and lights up even the most greyest of days.
Erin
Erin is the newest addition to Futura and has only been with us for 2 months. She’s from Colorado, USA, and is a professional hairdresser. She’s trendy, funny and is a great laugh.
Bill
Bill is from Pennsylvania, and is the calmest teacher of the academy. He never gets stressed, and is always so laid-back about things. Incredible! He teaches business English for Zurich Insurance, and is a friendly and cool guy.
Welcome to the place where I work
April 12th, 2007
Futura Idiomas is the name of the English Language academy in Malaga, Spain, where I have the privilege to be working. I’ve been working there for 6 months now, and am glad to share this experience with the other members of staff. Based in the centre of Malaga with a lovely view of the port it is a friendly and relaxed place to work and study.
Futura uses the Inlingua method of teaching, a method which began in 1968, and is very effective. The method is 90% conversation and 10% writing, and promotes speaking between students and teacher to student drilling and questioning. The result of this great method reflects in the constant high grades and progress of all the students. As well as Inlingua classes, there’s teaching for preparation for Cambridge First Certificate examinations, which is advanced English, and also classes for preparation for Proficiency level examinations, which is very advanced English, almost at native level. There are also classes for children from the age of 4 and classes for teenagers also.
Students can choose the hours they’d like to study, usually 3 hours a week, and if they’d prefer to have private classes (one-to-one) or if they’d prefer to be in a group.
I’m currently teaching Inlingua beginners level, Inlingua intermediate-high intermediate level, Cambridge First Certificate level, private classes, children and teenagers.
This page is dedicated to the students and teachers who work and study at Futura. Also including an academy diary with important dates and events.
Enjoy this place!
